Manchester United goes to Brentford 4 nothing
Cristiano Ronaldo's first start for Manchester United in 2022-23 ended in a 4-0 thrashing at Brentford on Saturday, which dropped United to the bottom of the Premier League standings.
In their Premier League history, United had never conceded four goals in the first half away from home.
Although Ten Hag's side were able to stop the flow of conceded goals in the second half, they did not capitalize on their chances to restore some pride.
The demolition marked Brentford's first triumph over United in all competitions since February 1938, when the Bees won the FA Cup by 2-0. Ten Hag becomes United's first manager to lose his first two matches in over 100 years
